Would you support Trayvon's Law (#1) UPDATED

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

Would you support a law honoring Trayvon, that would make it a FELONY for a neighborhood watchman, security guard, or police officer, to approach a  person simply because he "looked suspicious" and for no other reason at all?

If so would you sign the petition I might start? Thanks for your support!

UPDATED: Okay I fixed it to say just "person", not "black person"

Well that would be unconstitutional my friend.

Quoting Anonymous:

NO!  But I would support a law that made it illegal for neighborhood watchmen/women to carry guns.

No. And this is exactly the reason I wouldn't support this law. Any race can look suspicious. Nobody should be above suspicion.

Quoting firespurity:

So those of African American descent would be exempt from "looking suspicious". Race doesn't make one exempt. I do not support this law. I think security individuals should be able to approach any one they deem suspicious. Otherwise let's say screw it, having security personnel or volunteers of any kind is illegal.

no. i would want a police officer/community watch/security guard to approach ANYONE of ANY RACE if they looked suspicious. Not give a black/hispanic/white/purple/green/orange person go because of race.

Lol, getting your ass beat isn't a good reason to defend yourself?

Quoting Anonymous:

I disagree. That was NOT a fair trail. He killed him cold blooded all because he got his ass beat.

Quoting MamaPeanut:

No.

He had every right to protect his area, and I believe it was a fair trial and verdict.
