it depends on if you have a warrenty or not. the only real way of knowing the price is to go to your jeweler

thats doesnt help much mama. From the pic I cant tell its is 1 carat or 6. Did you get  an appraisel with the ring? do you have insurance on it ?

I'm not trying to be offensive to you mama. there is just a lot of variation in the prices of diamonds. Look on Ebay or overstock. See if you see anything that looks similar to yours. The description of the rings should give you a little chart. The chart shows cut, clarity , Etc.  Read my next response I will post the chart for you. It will explain how depending on the quality & clarity how your diamond will sparkle or whether it will have black spot when you look at it OK. Sorry again I didn't mean to offend you.

When you talk loose diamonds it is expensive. You would be much better off buying a new ring & having that diamond put in your band. Sorry! I went through this a few years ago. It is a bummer :X
