I can't brag in real life but I'm so happy and proud of my husband!! He got a major promotion this morning!! He's come so far! When our oldest was a baby he brought home $20,000/year. Now 7 years and 3 kids later he's going to be making $170,000/year!!! I just can't believe it!! I'm so grateful for having a hard working man!!

I wish I could say the same for my BIL. 10 years and 4 kids later he's at the same shitty job with no desire to do better. My husband is military, so he won't be making a whole lot more until he's out.

I don't consider it "bragging" so why can't you do this in real life?  It's showing support and appreciation.  I find it funny, especially on Cafemom, how women post openly about being on PA but when someone posts something they bought or in this case, making more money, it's considered "bragging".

I just don't want it to seem like I'm rubbing it in their faces. My bff is having financial issues and another friend just became a single mom. I'm excited for my family but don't want to cause any hard feelings.
