Have you heard of this ear wax remedy?

So my mother was telling me that sticking a Q Tip in my ear just pushes the wax further back . She tells me that i need to tilt my head to side, put peroxide in my ear. If it bubbles its breaking up the wax and to keep my head tilted for couple minutes. Has anyone done this?

Yes, it is a better and safer way to clean your eyes. Q-tips are not really for sticking into your ear drums and they DO push wax further back.

Q-Tip directions - do not insert into the ear canal.  Found that out in high school when after a crappy allergy season, I woke up with an ear ache.  Three trips to the dr later, they were finally able to pop out the chunk in there.

Just allowing warm water from the shower to run into your ears will melt the wax as well.

The peroxide trick is also supposed to keep you from getting infections.

But yeah don't use q tips. I ended up losing my hearing in one ear until I had a doctor clean my fuck up

So you just poor it right in your ear and let it sit? How do you get it out?
