Why is my bogenvillia dying?

It's in a hanging pot. I bought it two weeks ago and it was gorgeous. When things started heating up in the 100's it started wilting and dropping it's flowers, so I watered it more. Nothing is improving. However my bogenvillia planted in the ground is doing great. Could it be that it's cooking in it's container? Or why was it doing so great at home depot but failing miserably here. poo.

I think the pot is too small now maybe.  Bougainvillea are drought resistant so maybe you over-watered it.

Ok I just want to clarify that bougainvilias are pretty hard to kill right? I mean would you think it's root bound given that it won't perk up whether I water it more or let it dry out? I've tried both and I know it shouldn't be the heat.

Can you post a pic of it?

Water once a week. If its root bound water wont unwilt it. It will just die.

Not hated to kill but are very drought resistant.
