I actually agree... But if something little turns serious and they were not seen they would be liable.

 That's against the law.....public ERs can't turn patients away, and believe me when I tell you, you don't want them to be able to.

I think the er should refuse to see anyone in non-emergency situations... My SIL brought her child into the er because he swallowed a tooth....

I agree, the ER is for serious and life threatening injuries, not because you have a sore throat

Yes, or they should be charged.  I see too many medicaid recipients who misuse the er.
