My son is having his tonsils and adenoids out on monday. I need help planning some meals for him to eat that won't hurt his throat. The doctor told me no dairy because it encourages mucus production or breads/pastas because they stick to the back of the throat.
So far I have:
pudding (I know it's dairy but he requested it so I bought it out of mommy guilt)
canned soups of various types
lots of store-bought popsicles and I just made a dozen fruit smoothie pops, though my kids may scarf them all this weekend and I'll have to make more.
frozen fruit and ice to make smoothies
a couple dozen eggs because they're soft food, right?
potatoes to make baked potatoes
Help me think of some more soft foods that aren't dairy or wheat?
