Why do churches?

Why do churches feel the need to use children to peddle their messages? Just opened my door to find two boys, no more than 9 years old handing out bible tracks. I have several problems with it but the main issue I have is for their safety. There were NO adults to be seen, they were riding their bikes on a busy road, going door to door. I know that we have at least 1 registered sex offender in our neighborhood. I wondering why their parents aren't more concerned for their safety. ::sigh::

Because you can't (shouldn't!) throw devil horns at little children and tell them that Satan is your homeboy.

I've never seen kids going door to door. Mormans have the missionaries that are usually teen boys dressed in white pressed shirts and tie going door to door.

They might have asked.  Our church does mailings.

We get a lot of kids that come to our door pedaling religion in some form.

And the answer should have been "NO"! It isn't safe.

And how do you know the church is making them do it?  Perhaps they chose to do it on their own.  That said, their parents should be watching over them if the neighborhood is that iffy.

Nope. That's why they send their kids instead!

You should get a No Solicitation sign.

Mine clearly specifies I don't want any to try and sell me magazines, vacuums, or religion but COOKIES ARE WELCOME HERE.

Oops. My bad on the spelling. I am a terrible speller.

You are right, the parents should be watching over them. Our neighborhood is generally pretty safe but like I said, there are over 200 houses in our subdivision, you can't know ALL the neighbors.
