HELP! Severe diaper rash - what do I do???

My daughter is 2 weeks old and has the worst diaper rash I have ever seen. It appeared suddenly yesterday. One diaper change she was fine, the next she had the rash and it was bad. Well now its bleeding pretty bad. She screams bloody murder if you touch it and she just seems miserable in general.

She is usually changed every 60-90 minutes, but since the rash appeared I have been checking her every 30 minutes. I have tried diaper rash cream and letting her just be diaper free to let the air heal it, but it is getting worse not better and now the bleeding has me freaked out. What else can I do?

I'd take her to the doctor, it might be a bacterial infection.

Put some cream on it and maybe change diaper brands. Let her go bare bottom as much as possible. See doc asap

Is it crazy if I take her to Urgent care? Or should I just try to wait it out til Monday?

My DS had one like that but this was 27 years ago, I tried everything the Dr. Suggested finally I just put powder on it one night and it was cleared up the next day.  Idk now a days though, half the things I did back then I would probably have cps called on me now! Lol

Coconut oil and burnt flour. Burn flour in a pan until it turns the color of a brown paper bag. (Basically cook the flour on the stove) then powder her butt with the burnt flour. This saved my life!

I thought of that, but why would she have been fine for 2 weeks, and then developed the allergy?

When dd had a diaper rash that wouldn't go away, the nurse line suggested giving her baking soda baths 3x a day, and using lotrimin instead of diaper cream. it cleared up within 3 days.
