moving questions.

Dh and I are looking to move. We found an apartment, but it won't be ready until the end of the summer. I still want to leave before then (talking to my aunt to see if she'll let us stay until the end of the summer) so we can save for First, Last and Security.

My question is, When you give your 30 day notice, do you HAVE to stay until the end of the 30 days or can you move once they have the notice? The girl who lived behind me gave her notice, and then moved the a weekend later. The only difference was that her ex boyfriend still lives there.

As long as your rent is paid up....the LL won't care if you move out early

Ok thanks. I paid my first and last months rent when I moved in so once I give the 30 days we should be all set.

No, you do not have to stay! Take that time to move as quickly or as slowly as you please :)

You can move any time. They just care that you pay your rent. You don't have to live there while you pay.

Last month's rent was paid when we moved in. So I can give my 30 days and not have to worry! :-)

Yeah, all they care about is getting paid the full amount of the lease.

As long as the rent is paid up until the end of the notice you can move whenever you want.
