Am I the only parent that looks forward to canceling plans so I can be by myself?

When I get invited to a go out for drinks, or to a party, I often find myself looking for an excuse not to go. How pathetic is it that the first thing I think of is, "Great, the one night I get to myself and I have to go out and hang out with people that I don't even really like anyways."

Am I the only mom that thinks this?

The acception to this is spending time w/my close friends. This is referencing workmates and friends of friends that I'm not close to.

Nope. I'm like this too. The only other adult I really have the desire to spend time with is DH.

Not really, but I'm an extrovert. I love hanging out with people and hate being home. Lol.

I do that sometimes myself. I feel like there is nothing wrong with it. But sometimes I feel like a shut in.

Nope. I'm the same way. I love the nights alone. Lol
