Money buys bacon. Bacon causes happiness. Ergo, money buys happiness.

Maybe.

But there are a lot of things in life that you can't buy and happiness is one of them.

If you had millions of dollars but no love in your life. No husband or children or family or real friends. If you had to wonder if the people you do have are only there because of the money, would you be happy?

Money may not buy happiness but it sure makes life a lot easier.  I have been on both sides and life is MUCH better with money!

Money buys things and we're a society that doesn't know how to be happy without things so yes, money buys happiness.

In the first chapter of Robinson Crusoe, Daniel Defoe writes about how being in the middle class is the perfect place to be and why.....that has stuck with me for years.  I have no desire to be rich or poor but just to be comfortable and at peace.....
