If jobs are so "scarce" then....

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
How did my 16 and 17 yr old get jobs so easily? They may not be the greatest and not that many hours but they are good in the mean time for people who are looking for jobs. People are being too picky because welfare makes it too easy.

15 yo DS is anxiously waiting to turn 16 so he can get a job since we won't pay for designer clothes. The kid wants an $80 hooded sweatshirt! I don't even pay that for 2 pairs of jeans!

Really because people with good jobs don't get laid off when their company moves after they had kids.

Are you kidding with this.

Do you really think a minimum wage job can support a family?

Well um hello those people shouldn't have had kids!

I just rolled my eyeballs out of my head.

Thank you!  My uncle has been laid off twice in the last five years.  I'm sure the unemployment he collected while he was looking for work was more than a 20 hour-a-week, minimum wage job.

You didn't pick up the very obvious sarcasm either...alright.

Maybe they're not too picky maybe all the teenagers who don't need jobs are taking all the shitty jobs.

That's funny because at the Mc Donalds my son was hired at everyone starts at minimum wage unless you are a manager

Quoting Anonymous:

They hire the teens because they can pay them less and work them the shittiest hours. That is exactly what I was told by my friend who does the hiring at McDonalds here.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, it's been one of those days...

I was trying to be as obvious as possible. But apparently it wasn't...so I made it really really really big on the first page. At least you admit you are having an off day lol

Daycare is too expensive. I don't know anyone here. Yet.

Maybe I'll get a part time job in a year or so. I doubt I will though, I think I'll perfect a craft. I want to make seashell bottles for family.

Sorry to me it looked like a remark I read everyday on here.

Quoting OneToughMami:

Holy shit seriously...did you not get the eye rolling reference? That I was being SARCASTIC!

And some had kids when they could afford and now they can't. Should they get rid of the kids?? Pull your head out of your ass and put your eyeballs back in.

So I take it you chose to ignore that I was being sarcastic?

Oh hells bells ... no ... just missed it ... just tired and hot with a headache.
