My dd failed

Her eye test for her kindergarten physical. They said to bring her back in a month. No referral to the eye doctor. They said She can't go to kindergarten unless she passes her physical. They want us to come back in a month to retest. It doesn't make sense.

I think I'm just gonna take her to the eye doctor anyway. Wwyd?

1 mom liked this
That's stupid... if she failed how will she pass without a eye doctor appointment. I am a fighter and would probably challenge the school

Ditto. Could be as simple as needing glasses. How does retesting her in a month solve anything, unless they think she just wasn't paying attention. Who is "they" btw? The school? Her ped?

And I'm calling BS on her not being able to go to kindy--the school needs to work with her to accomodate any needs she has.

That's funny that they didn't bother to tell you that you might want to have her seen by an eye doctor.  It's not like you can "practice" and she will do better on the next test!
