Kids having play clothes and school clothes? What do you think of people who do this?

LOL, I have my daughter's clothes divided into "most things" clothes and "crafts" clothes. Regular playing doesn't usually do much damage.

uh yes.  They outgrow them fast enough, why allow them to ruin them even sooner?

She has clothes that I would not consider acceptable to wear to school.

Garments with paint all over them, stains, or holes will not be worn to school.

Nope, not really. But of course if he has a brand new shirt and I want it sparkly clean for awhile I won't let him wear it outside playing or whatnot. But clothes are clothes.

All the kids here wear play clothes to school. They are elementary and do a lot of playing at recess.
