He's been snotty, rude and mean all day. Demanding I give him his presents now and not wait untill his father got home, which by the way did not fly with me. He got a book in the mail from my mom, shark pop up book that is so totally cool, and he threw it on the floor and screamed he didn't want that. He then demanded his gift from me again and when I said o he screamed he hates me. This has been an all day behavior event, so I cancelled his celebration tonight. No cake. No ice cream. No presents. Meanest mom ever over here... Was I wrong?

Nope; I'd do the same thing... he's old enough to know how to behave.

We would have had a "Come to Jesus" meeting right then and there...and I would have cancelled as well.

Awesome! A parent that expects their child to behave! Don't feel bad, you can always do something another day if he gets his act together.

Nope he should not have behaved like that. Just don't go back on your word.
