No need to get bitchy. I'm just saying that where I live, people get paid decently at Walmart.

Quoting Anonymous:

Good for you?

Quoting Devious333:

Um if I worked full time I would be making that much a month and I'm hourly. They must not pay well at all where you are.

Quoting Anonymous:

My dh makes about 2000$ in a 2-pay check month. So ya. NOT 100k....

Quoting Devious333:

If you know so much, what do they make? Assistants are around $40k, depending on metro or non-metro, and I know co managers make more than that. Store managers make good money.

Quoting Anonymous:

*Snort* no we dont.

Quoting Devious333:

Store manager's of Walmart make around $100k a year. No degree requird.

My dh got his GED, he makes more than any of those as an oilfield specialist. He has been offered a position that pays over $250,000 a year as a wireline shooter. He will probably take it, most of the guys doing that in our area are making over $300,000.

His boss made the same as him. They both quit at the same time. I guess you can only put it down to shitty owners.

Quoting opal10161973:

Yep. One of the other posters said she was getting paid less than other supervisors of equal rank in her position and it was because her boss didn't like her, so I guess it pays to kiss ass. LOL

Quoting MistyMoo:

Really? I have a friend who worked as an assistant manager for BK and he only got about 25¢ more than minimum wage lol I couldn't believe he stayed as long as he did.

Quoting opal10161973:

Really?  I went to a class with a lady who was the Assistant Manager at a BK and she went on to finish her Surgical Tech class.  She never worked in the field though.  She was making $40,000+/year and it would have been less money to switch careers.  No kidding.  I couldn't believe it.

Quoting rachellaree20:

Well, a fast-food restaurant manager definitely isn't one of those :/  i only made $7.90/hour as a fast food manager :(

Dh is a retail manager but he doesn't make much. They've offered him a store manager position but I doubt it would be anywhere close to the amounts on that list.

I can see that with piss poor franchise owners.  Looking to save a buck and end up losing their good managers and wondering why they don't make more of a profit.  Dumbasses.  LOL
