Is what my 56 year old mother weighs now. The cancer is taking her fast. My son (2 1/2) gave Nini 'medicine'(pretend, of course) to help her hair come back. She was so weak today she couldn't hold my 10 month old. Of course, she is 1/4th her weight. I can't do this. :,-(

I'm so sorry:(

What is her prognosis?
Sometimes people make amazing recoveries, even when the doctors don't expect it.
Best wishes.

blessings, peace and prayers.  my mother went this way two years ago.  i am sure your son is much of the reason she smiles.  you are never old enough to not need your mommy.

She has stage IV lung cancer that has moved to the liver. Her last scan showed it's growing even with chemo. I was hoping to have her to Christmas. Her original prognosis was 2 years.

I am sorry.  My mom had cancer in her early 50s, I understand what you are going through .  My mom lost a lot of weight as well.  Cancer is an awful thing.  My mom had lung cancer as well.  Prayers and peace to all of you.
