Is it gross or immature to use pads?

I have seen this several times today on cm.

It strikes me as weird.

One, why is it considered immature? I don't get how age has anythign at all to do with it.

Two, I can understand why some may think it's gross, but on light flow days, it really is better to not use tampons, and what else should one use? Not everyone likes cups.  And if changed properly (ie frequently) they are sanitary.

Thoughts?

I think it has to do with preference. It has nothing to do with maturity level. It can be kinda gross though.

Since I had my DD I have no use for tampons. 2-3 extremely light. I use the teen products.. I simply don't need them. That does not make me immature or gross.

No it's not gross or immature. I hate pads though. I'm 1 week PP and I feel so gross. Pads suck lol.

I think pads are gross and smelly and I just don't get WHY someone would want to use them. I also think calling them sanitary napkins is funny.

I don't get it. It's personal preference. I use a cup, tampons, and pads depending on my flow and where I'm at.

I use pads. Ever since i got my tubes tied, my periods have been really heavy. Tampons do the job, but I have to change them every hour. Its a hassle.

Immature definitely isn't the word that comes to mind but they do make things more noticeable smell-wise. I have a really strong sense of smell and can usually tell when someone is on their period. Women who wear pads are extra noticeable, it just reeks to me.
