In real life the only people I talk to about my epilepsy are my family and friends. They know about my condition and don't try to tell me about it as if they are my doctors and know everything when they don't.

I've experienced the same thing on here, and in real life.

Quoting AliKatAK47:

I know. However it seemed like a lot of people here are ignorant about it. Many people don't even realize that there are different types of Epilepsy. I know from one of my posts that a lot of people think it is a one size fits all condition and that one medicine will work for everyone.

Quoting firespurity:

It's estimated to be fairly common. It's more prevalent then autism.

Quoting AliKatAK47:

I'm surprised by how many people have epilepsy.

1 mom liked this
I took Clobex last time and it was a miracle drug! And weirdly enough, when I got pregnant my last flare up went away completely and didn't need to take anything! Sadly it's getting to the point I need to go back to the doctor though :-(

Quoting peanut081981:

I gave up covering it up a long time ago. Have you tried clobex? It's LITERALLY a miracle drug. Made by galderma. Only bad thing is there is no generic. I use that and halog.

Quoting Scarlet_begonia:

Lol thanks it sucks...I have to keep covered when it's hot, know my triggers, and worry about people looking at me like a leper is how I feel. It's not always like I said but it is to me one of the worst...

Quoting peanut081981:

Psoriasis for the win.

Quoting Scarlet_begonia:

Psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ( does not flare up all the time) bipolar and ocd. I'm 29 and blessed lol you wouldn't guess it by looking at me and meeting me though
