Was sitting outside having a couple drinks with the neighbors. A friend of one of them showed up. We were all talking. Things were going great, laughs all around. We were talking about our kids and their hair and I mentioned that my youngest two were interracial. he says "to each their own but you don't see dog's fucking cats". It got silent. I looked at him and said " Really? Just.. Really?" He said.. "Hey it was how I was raised." I  said "Oh I see, you were raised rude and without manners." and walked inside.

Look I get it. Some people don't agree. But I will NEVER understand WHY it's ok to force your opinion on other's. And to comapre my relationship of 9 years that resulted in two children to animals? UGH!!! I wanted to smack him so bad.

That's what bothered me most. I mean I know there are people who don't agree, but to say that to someone you KNOW has mixed kids? Really?

Wow!!!!  It still amazes me how rude and ignorant some people can be.  Glad you could just walk away.

I wanted to. SOOOO bad. But if he was stupid enough to say that he is stupid enough to call the cops on me, and since I am 3 classes from my Human Services degree, I can't afford a charge.

What a dick!!  So inappropriate, regardless of how one was raised.

Good for you for having class in your response...I don't think I could have.

I'm floored that someone would actually say that outloud!  I'm seriously impressed you didn't punch him in the balls.
