Is it wrong to call off of work because of a hangover?

On Friday, my friend and I are going out for dinner/drinks and a movie.

I plan on getting drunk. DH and DD won't be home, and I haven't had a night out in months. The last time I had time to see my friends was 4 months ago.

I think I am going to call off on Saturday so I can sleep in and relax some more. I am -always- being called in, I have people constantly asking me to cover their shifts. Obviously, I can say no, but I am rather nice and it doesn't normally bother me.

but...fuck it. I'm calling in on Saturday. Some one else can be the responsible person.

it depends... i used to go in all hung over but i had no choice.  i sobered up and worked.  if i was completely inhebraited i called in, but for the most part a hang over didnt bother me.. it was nights where i went from a club straight to work.

there were also those night where we had to take clients out to dinner and to clubs, which lasted well past 4 am, but those were excused because we were entertaining clients, so we would get in at 12pm to work.

i worked in finance, so clients and dinners and nights out were a 2 night a week thing.

weekends i would sleep and veg

If you have to ask, you need to stop drinking.

Do NOT drink and drive.  I hope you have a designated driver.
