DD hasn't lost any teeth yet so I can't help with today's rate. I've always been under the opinion that parents pay too much when acting as the tooth fairy anyway. When I was a kid I got a quarter while friends were getting a dollar. I think a quarter is still a good rate. I mean, its just something fun. Little kids don't really need the money for anything.
WE GIVE 5.00 FOR THE FIRST TOOTH AND 1.00 FOR EVERY OTHER TOOTH
We give $1.

I did $5 for my daughter's first tooth,$1 for all following teeth
I always got a dollar per tooth growing up and that's what I do for my kids as well. My DS is almost 7 and has just started losing teeth.
I give them a $2 bill for each tooth
