I love to read romance, and write a bit of it myself. Then again I don't care if Dh views porn. Though he's not the type of guy who wants to see it. In his words, "If you've saw it once, there's not much difference. Sex only happens in so many ways..."

My DH randomly flipped to a page in a couple of my novels & he always lands on a sez scene lmao. He calls them my porno books. But, I don't care if he watches porn lol.

I think they're the same. We do not allow either in our house, as we feel it is akin to adultery.

My husband does not watch porn and I do not read romance novels, so this is a non-issue, But here is a bump.

Nope. Not the same. Whether a romance novel is steamy or sweet, it's about a relationship. It's about people falling in love and learning how to work things out.

Porn is about getting off.

At least, so says the romance writer. :)

No, I don't think they are the same at all. One is all imagination. Porn involves a lot of damaged people.

I feel bad watching something when all I can think is what happened to this woman to bring her to this point. I'm sure there are some average backgrounds in there. It's just the only stories I've ever heard from women who have been in porn are tragic.

That being said I have no issue with DH watching porn. At the end of the day there is the matter of personal choice, whomever made the vidoe presumably chose to do so. Just like my DH has personal choice.

I don't mind porn, but there is a difference, imo

Romance book is more like a movie with some sex scenes. Porn is just the sex scenes.
