Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

Okay, just out of curiosity, ladies... If you could have one reconstructive surgery, what would you choose? This has come up at my work on numerous occasions. While I'm fairly satisfied with the way my body looks, I'm not gonna lie. It would be scary if I ever won the lottery or something, because I would walk into a plastic surgeon's office with a handful of Sharpies and say "Get to work, Doc!" But if I had to choose just one, I'd definitely go with the boobs. What would you want to get, if any? :)

LOL I might want to get a breast lift if it was just for me (and by extension, my husband lol). I just wouldn't ever feel like it would only be for me. I would feel like I finally gave in to what everyone else thinks I should do. Sometimes it just feels like no one treats you as a person unless you are perfect in the looks department :(

Quoting SyllabaryBisque:

I'm sorry to hear that people have said that to you. Some people can be such bitches. :(

I would never get plastic surgery for anyone else but me, that's for sure. Lol

Quoting Anonymous:

I don't think I could go through with it. I used to want plastic surgery so bad. I've been made fun of my whole life and called ugly. I've been told I would look so much prettier "if only you'd get something done about that huge nose of yours." I still can't look in a mirror without believing I'm hideous. However, I no longer want plastic surgery. For one thing, I'm scared to death of being put to sleep. And I finally realized that I shouldn't be made to feel like I have to change myself to make other people happy. If you (general) don't like how I look, you can look away. I shouldn't have to look like Barbie to be treated like a person. And I definitely won't get surgery to please others. If I ever did it, it would be for me, but I would still feel like I'm doing it for everyone else simply because of what I have been put through.

Lol...I don't think it's weird. I would like a more defined chin. :)

Quoting LauraMH:

Chin/neck line. I know it's a weird thing but I've always hated my profile bc my neck line is very undefined. I can fix everything else I don't like with diet and exercise. But even when I was very thin, my neck was bad!

I'm having an abdominal repair with skin removal... which is basically a tummy tuck, however it's mostly covered by my insurance because my abdominal muscles are so damaged from my 2 pregnancies that I have what looks like a massive hernia. We have to pay for the skin removal, but both my general surgeon and plastic surgeon say that's BS. They say they have only seen a few people with a stomach as bad of mine from PG and they were all multiples. I'm failry petite and I carried way out front. I only gained 24 lbs *starting from 115, so no didn't go up to 200 lbs or anything*.

So... I'm get a tummy tuck. But I would like a face lift... chin, nose eyes.

lol

I did. I had a tummy tuck done to remove excess skin from my pregnancies. It was gross, and I had wanted it done for years. I saw many doctors and personal trainers, and they all agrees that it was just skin, no amount of exercise would shrink it back. So I waited until I had my last child and had the procedure done. I had so many stretch marks my tummy looked like it went through a meat grinder.

My neighbor asked me why I was having it done since I looked so little and thin...so I showed her my tummy. She actually gasped in horror at te sight, lol, and said she understood. Lmao! I just have hardly any elasticity to my skin. It must be genetic, because one of my sisters is the same way. I still have some as he could not remove them all, but no more excess skin!

Insurance companies can definitely suck. :( I hope your part isn't too expensive!
