Endometrial ablation

Has anyone had one? What are the requirements? Do you have to have a medical reason?

I am 21 and have one child (he is 5). I had a DVT in January. I am not supposed to use any hormonal birth control and a pregnancy is very risky. Even with all of this they will NOT tie my tubes. I have spoken to every doctor in my area and surrounding areas and it is against their policy. I have heard that Endometrial ablation  is easier to get with less sid eeffects.

My dr wouldn't do one on me because I didn't have severe heavy bleeding.  Pregnancy is very risky for me too (readmitted after giving birth to both my girls for extremely high blood pressure) so I ended up with the mirena.  I'm 34 with 2 kids and am done--dh ended up getting the V before I got the mirena.
