Around 300k. It's worth quite a bit more because of additions and upgrades.
A little less than $60k. The house is worth more, but I don't know exactly how much more. We'll be getting it appraised within the next few months, and we'll either sell it or rent it out depending on how much we could get for it.
We live on Long Island(and home prices are going up here). We have been looking at home prices in Florida and those prices are up as well We paid 110,000 in 1995(brand new ranch) and before the crash it was worth about 300k, which is low for this area. We don't have a mortgage anymore, just those high school/property taxes. We will sell within the next 6 yrs, but the house does need work
We owe around 320k still. Prices here are pretty stable. They went up about 50k, then dropped about 10k and now back up. Unfortunately houses here are far too pricey. Average 20yr old house in the suburbs is around 600k, a shack on a tiny lot or a bare lot in the city is well over 1M. Ticks me off, I was born and raised in the city but cannot ever afford to live where I want, so I'm out in the suburbs, which are okay but still overpriced!
I think there is $80k on the mortgage. I have no idea how much his parents paid for the house originally. They had it built.
I guess we will find out soon when we get an appraisal to get a loan. Hopefully it will appraise for at least $90k so we can have a little to do some work that needs to be done.
