I need protein!!

I need to add more protein into my diet. Unfortunately whey protein is not looking to be an option. We eat very clean and organic. Even the organic whey proteins contains soy which is not good for you and also causes a lot of bloat. The only one I could find that didnt was absolutely outrageous in cost.

So what foods can I add that are VERY high protein??? I wanted to add whey to my green smoothies but I need an alternative now.

There's hemp protein powder. That's what we use.

Garbanzos are good. A moderate amount of organic soy can be healthy. I am a vegetarian, and think of soy as the "red meat" of protein sources. A little is ok, just don't live off of it.

This. I add this to our smoothies and ground flax seed.

Broccoli is high in protein. There is actually a good amount of protein in veggies. It's surprising.
