Could your 8yo put a diaper on?

This is a werid question, but could your 8yo put a diaper on themselves?  Not change a diaper on a baby by themselves, but put on on so they're wearing it.  My 8yo DD still wets the bed at night, and wears diapers becasue goodnites/underjams/etc leak.  Diapers don't leak, but she can't maange to get it on by herself.  I got some grief in another thread because I still help her, but it seems like something most 8yos couldn't do on their own.

Edit: No special needs, but a bit of a perfectionist.  She gets frustrated if she can't get the tapes right.

Edit2: I'm kind of curious about the results of a controlled experiment with a bunch of diapers and a bunch of 8yos, but that might be hard to arrange...

Can you do it on yourself...have you tried?  I'm only asking, because if you have problems you might know how to help her with hers.

No.  Just a bedwetter - she's never been reliably dry at night.

Why not just use the pull up type diaper?

She's only 50lbs, so she still fits in pampers size 7.  I don't think I could put those on me, but simply because they wouldn't fit :-).

I also think I have a bit more dexterity and experience with diapers than her...

They leak more often than not - so you still have to wash PJs, bedding, etc.
