Raverly.  Great resource.  Also has tons of free patterns.  Best site ever!!!  Also, youtube has some really great ones.  I have been knitting for 10+ years and Raverly is still the best and first resource I check.  Happy knitting.  If you have any questions, please just ask.  To make learning a lot less stressful, start with a dishcloth until you have mastered knitting and purling and then move on to something bigger.

I watched a lot of YouTube tutorials to learn how to crochet. I did take a class at Jo-Ann's and it helped a little bit. Mostly just watched videos.

Yup, Youtube! I learned how to knit from there and I find great crochet patterns to follow too. I can not for the life of me follow a written pattern.

Michaels has books for beginners... you could also honestly just google it and it should come up with a multitude of videos

If all that fails; Stop a random old lady somewhere and ask if she knows how to knit lol

Pinterest, I know how to knit and crochet already but there's always something on there to learn.
