Pardon? Pardon? PARDON?

Literally EVERYTHING I say my son responds with "Pardon?"

It was so bad that, given my own heriditary hearing impairment I took him to an audiologist.

The diagnosis, he doens't pay attention.  Ever.

So, how do you get your kids to pay attention, stop saying pardon and just bloody think about what is going on around them?

By the by, ds7 is autistic and an only child, so I don't really know if this is normal, a behavioiur thing or an autism thing.

So, if any other moms have experience, that would be good.

My 6yr old doesn't pay attention. I make her stop everything and look me in the face when I'm speaking. Then I ask if she understands what I said and make her repeat it.
