Window units belong in trailers

O.o. That is my snotty neighbor's new complaint. We put one upstairs to try to offset some of the cooling cost. It's on the backside of the house, but she demands we take it out, or she's going to the HOA.

Screw them. And her. Old battle axe.

We have 2, and we live in a single family detached home. Definitely not a trailer.

So glad we don't have a HOA to deal with.

Phew! I get to keep mine then! I live in a fully paid for super nice trailer, but my lord my bedroom stays hot, we have to crank it down to 50 to be somewhat comfy...we just got one of them there winder units and my light bill has gone way done and we sleep so much better :) your neighbor is stupid. I've seen plenty of houses with window units!!

That's a pretty normal complaint with HOA's they usually aren't allowed. Glad I don't live in one however phew.

O.o I live in Florida and most people have central air but when I go up north I'm amazed how many people have one window unit for their entire place. I guess it depends on where you live.

What are the rules according to your HOA?

Crazy lady. That's one reason why I enjoy living in the country.

We live in an HOA neighborhood... I can not stand it.  It's not hot here long enough to justify central air-conditioning... most people I know have window AC.

If it's not allowed in the HOA then you have to take it down. Good luck!

Oh I violated the HOA all the freakin' time.  Stupid blue haired biddies.  I hated the HOA, nothin' but a thorn in my backside.
