God doesn't belong in public schools

First, I am a Christian. Church-going, contemporary Christian music loving, daily praying Christian.

But I am also of a mind that says MY beliefs should not dictate that of others.

Faith belongs at home. Pray at school if you want. Have faith-based clubs in school. Whatev. But someone gave my DD a tshirt about getting God/prayer back in school. Last time I checked, all schools had a Moment of Silence for prayer among other things. Schools also have faith-based clubs. I do not think it is right to have things the way they used to be... With teachers praying with the class at meals and such. It isn't the school's job to instill faith in children. There are faith-based private schools if its that important to you.

That's all.

I am a Christian & I agree with you 100%. I think kids should be able to silently pray over their meal if they chose to at school or something like that but that's it.

I agree very much. It's refreshing to see a rational Christian.

Totally agree. Religion is for home and church.

Why should they have to be silent?

I just meant it shouldn't be done over an intercom or in front of the class.
