would you allow?

We live three miles from my sons school, it would take an hour or more. My son just turned 14 and has ADHD. He has to go to school in a not so good part of town and the only way to get there (directly) is busy main streets and under a busy interstate. Would you allow your son to walk to and from school?

Yes, 14 is old enough.
Maybe get him to take self defence classes,
So if anything bad happens he can defend himself. But I'm sure he will be fine. :)

Yes at 14 I absolutely would.  He will be driving a car in two years.

Cut the apron strings.

3 miles to school every morning and afternoon. NO I wouldn't do that!

No. That's too far for him to walk every morn before school and after. I used to get the worst headaches at school. If I had to walk three miles home I would have probably died.
