Babies die in cribs everyday yet there are typically no articles on those deaths.

Seems like another article and post trying to sway people from cosleeping. Which actually seems safer than the crib.

Smothering is a lot different than SIDS, which is what everybody hollers when there is a baby who dies from bed sharing. There is a safe way to bed share. I do it, some of my friends do it, and we do it SAFELY which is the key factor that people seem to miss. It's not a coincidence that SIDS used to be called "crib death". Co-sleeping and bed sharing has been going on since the entirety of human history. Crib sleeping, however, is relatively new.
