Could just be hormones, as I'm newly pregnant. We were watching Pocahontas and I was singing a long and she gives me the meanest looks and tells me to please stop singing. Broke my heart because I've sang to her since she was a baby and it was always soothing to her. :,(

I'm featured?! Wha???! Lol

Don't take it personally.  She might have just wanted to watch the movie.  My children's voices are music to my ears, but sometimes I want them to just be quiet when I'm trying to concentrate on something and they are singing with all of their hearts.

2 things:

1) she's growing up, kids tell you stop doing something all the time

2) hormones

Don't take it personally. She just wanted to watch the movie with no interruptions. My dd gets like that too when I sing along.

My girls tell me to stop all the time. Lol I don't take it to the heart. They're kids. That's what they do. Wait til she's a teenager, she will crawl under her own shirt if you sing to her in public or infront of her friends. Lol.

I tried to do that when my mom danced infront of my friends. >_>

I love Pocahontas! We just watched it.

But back to the subject at hand, probably hormones.

My almost 6 year old does that some times.  I have always sang to him, even though I think I sound like a cat in heat, lol.  Sometimes he asks me to sing to him but sometimes he so ask me to atop singing.  I don't get my feelings hurt, I just figure he doesn't want to hear it right then.
