Would You Move to Help Your Sick Child?

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

If the state you lived in did not approve an unconventional treatment, to help your child's debilitating medical condition,  would you move to a state that would allow it?

Of course, I wouldn't think twice about it.

It's very true, and they're great hospitals.  If you need medical care or higher education, this is the state to get it!

Quoting Wicked.Jester:

I was very surprised at the sheer NUMBER of hospitals where I live (also in PA) given the population versus other places I have lived.

We do have great access here.

Quoting Dzyre1115:

I live in PA the treatment here is very liberal compared to most states.  Not to mention some of the best hospitals in the country are here.

DH and I have considered it - he has some flexibility in his job.  We have also considered home schooling a child that loves school (I am already homeschooling one of the kids), so we could seek treatment by traveling.  But the treatment comes with risks that could be more harmful than good, so we are still on the fence.
