I do...experienced it first hand working in a kitchen at several jobs...women were always passed over for a promotion, while men who had families were promoted, because they were 'responsible family men'

Yes, but I think it's far less than the bias against black men.

TBH, we've got it pretty good.

*If you read my post and there are mistakes in my spelling or grammar please note that I never learned either in school and I am currently learning them now. If you see a mistake POLITELY point it out and I'll be more than happy to correct my mistake. Here's a fun little siggy for your enjoyment. *

Last I heard, women still make like $0.70 for every $1.00 a man makes in the exact same position, on average.

So, yes, a huge bias.

I havent personally experienced it myself. I work for the University, while the upper high positions are generally mostly men, there are a few women. But we women seem to take up a lot of the other positions from IT to University department positions.

The President of the the university (where I work) is a woman, but yes, I do think the bias still exists.

That's a misleading number and doesn't take into consideration that men are more likely to work overtime than women, that they are willing to work later hours than women, etc. Take those extra factors out and women are making exactly the same for the same position and the same hours.
