I used to think that, not that I've ever seen anyone else nurse before.

All you ladies told me when I get to it, it wont be a big deal...

AND...

ITS NOT!
My baby turns 13m today and we are still nursing

I always wondered why one became this magic number. My one years olds have always been such babies still. Two of my three have not even been walking at one. I stopped nursing my second at 2 and will nurse my 1 year old until then as well. I feel it is the perfect time for us.

Lol, I was like that before my 1st was one.

Congrats on the extended nursing. Dont you ever let anyone make you feel bad about it !  :)

Pst..my 3rd child night nursed until she was 2.5... You know how many THAT grosses out? lmaoo..

And it gets better..while my first 3 were exclusively breastfed, my second 2 got formula..(actually started on bm tho..)

There is a world of judgment on this site. Glad you were able to overcome yours, and do whats best for your family :)

Whatever floats your boat. To each their own. Doesn't make any difference to me, one way or another.

DD nursed till she self weaned at 17 months. I am sad this baby will not be able to nurse due to a cleft lip... I plan to pump though.

It is weird to think of nursing an older child if they haven't been doing it every day since birth. But when its just part of your day it's the most natural thing in the world to let them decide when they are done.

congrats!

I could never nurse, but didn't think it was a big deal to age one.
