Do you call it a "lazy eye" when someone has a droopy eyelid? I know the medical term is ptosis, but I have had people comment about my son's left eyelid being droopy and call it a lazy eye. I thought a "lazy eye" had to do with the actual eyeball muscles causing the eyes to not align properly.

My son got his genetically. I have it, too. Actually, he is my little clone, just a boy version. I have been considering surgery on mine because it is getting worse as I age.

I would call it a droopy eyelid. I wouldnt call it a lazy eye because its not. I do t really see it in his pics though. Is it more noticeable in person?

I'd call it droopy. Lazy eye is when the actual eyeball isn't tracking or moving normally.

His left eye? It's a little noticeable, but not that bad to call it a lazy eye. He's a good looking kid!

Quoting TrouserMouse:

I added a pic where it is a little more noticeable.

I can't even tell.

I posted another pic. It kind of depends on how tired he is.

This isn't lazy eye. Lazy eye is where the eye itself kinda floats.
