Do you call it a "lazy eye" when someone has a droopy eyelid? I know the medical term is ptosis, but I have had people comment about my son's left eyelid being droopy and call it a lazy eye. I thought a "lazy eye" had to do with the actual eyeball muscles causing the eyes to not align properly.

My son got his genetically. I have it, too. Actually, he is my little clone, just a boy version. I have been considering surgery on mine because it is getting worse as I age.

I have a lazy eye and it is because my eye will move on its own. Never heard of a droopy eye being called that before. I don't know what you would call it.

You're correct. There's a difference between this and lazy eye. But a lot of people just don't know it.

I have the same problem. The eye that is affected has an astigitisim(sp is def jacked up); I wonder if they go hand in hand.

I can't really tell in either pic, if you didn't tell me I wouldn't notice at all. He's a handsome guy!

Why not Forrest Whitaker's? Lol.

Quoting MrsGuthrie:

It's barely noticeable. Most people's aren't.

I'm going to get bashed for this..

But my husband and I call them "Bernie Mac's"
