1 mom liked this

 So I want DD to wear this

I already have the top and it would so cute with her cowboy boots and she has wings or her sword that can go with it.

Now Dad wants her to wear this (yes I have to finish HAND MAKING IT!)

  She would be happy with either.  But I also need to finish My Red Riding hood costume and DH does not yet know what he wants to be so Dark Gods only knows what I will have to do for him...

edit:this is She-Ra Princess of Power its an 80's cartoon and the dress I have started is a tube dress that goes all the way around and down to her knees with straps that the cape is attached to, so it is ok and DH likes it because he is a HE-Man fan and got her into it before Netflix removed it (damn you Netflix)....

I just want to take the easy way out with DD and she will look soooo cute! She is 3.

EDIT: I don't like that people are saying I "can't go all out" for my child. I just don't like spending money on something that she never wear again. Why should I go to Party City or Walmart or Spiritand spend upwards of $30 on a cheap generic costume that 7 other children will be wearing?

My DD has a chest full of asserorys at home, so why not just by a fun puffy tutu (that she likes) and let HER imagination FLY.

*Update: 9-3-13. So after reading some of the other Halloween post I had a chat with DH and we decided to let DD look at costumes (we were waiting for the Spirit stores to open) and pick one out for herself. Well yesterday we were at Old Navy looking at fall stuff and she comes running up to us "mommy mommy I want THIS!!!"

  Well DH and I tried it on her and she looked so cute, plus the Old Navy costumes are 1)warm 2)well made 3)cheap (we hit a sale and got it for $16) and DH and I can get matching costumes to we have decided as well.

The 2nd one looks like it'd be slutty.

ware= item to sell

....typo?

*not meant in bitchy manner, genuinely curious*

Not a fan of the costume but if your DD will like it, then let her choose?

Ack, I re-read this and I would not be okay with the second one.

Tell him you're going with the first or he can make it himself.

I assume you're asking which would be a better costume... in which case, I'd go with She-Ra.  The first is adorable, but if a kid came to my door wearing it I'd wonder why they're trick or treating without a costume, even if there were wings added.  I realize not everyone can afford to "go all out" for costume, but to me a costume shoud be just that, a costume.  Not something you would wear any other time.
