SCHOOL MOVIE NIGHTS?

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

Ok so we are trying to get everything ready to submit for our first Family Movie Night at our school, so here is the question:

What would be some of the best movies out there to consider for our Movie Night?  Our school is pre-k through 5th grade.

This one.  All my kids and I love this even my 7th and 8th grader

Rise of the Guardians is a good movie.

Great choice.

Off the top of my head, Monsters University.  It's newer and it should entertain kids within that age range.

Can you have more than one movie night? Prek to 5th is a huge gap.

I'd definitely suggest Brave, which is newer or Princess and the Frog, BOTH of which are basically the only Disney flicks with STRONG female leads who aren't waiting on a man to come along and make their dreams happen, they take control of their own lives...

I would like to point out that some of the people are saying DIsney movies. You can be fined and go to jail unless you pay Disney for a special license to show their movie to the public.

My son's school does a Family Movie night every month. They've managed to stay away from the Disney Pixar stuff because after they showed Brave, the school got a letter from Disney, and Disney was not happy.

Although I love this movie, it is not a good idea for that age range.  The wolf part can be very scary for the little kids.

Ooh yeah that is very true. I would pick something older, but a good classic movie.
