When I was younger my mom used to add a little sugar to my cereal. She used to make me grilled cheese in the pan with butter. I used to eats apple slices with cheese (the good kind that come in blocks). When I was sad she didn't give me frozen yogurt she would take me into the kitchen and we would bake chocolate chip cookies together and laugh. She would make hotdogs for lunch or dinner at times and I had at least one juice box a day we never checked sugar content. Maybe it wasn't the healthiest but these are things ill do with my kids.
