I feel bad for my uncle.  My cousin is going into the 11th grade. shes turning 17 in december. she missed the cut off to be a senior.  my uncle was going to buy  her a car, but the school has a new rule that says only seniors on the honor roll can drive cars to school. and she lives walking distance from work. so hes going to wait to buy her a car for another year. well his x wife is bitching because that means she has to share a car with my cousin. and shes threatening to go to the lawyer and judge because he did buy a car for their other daughter (who graduated and is in college).  does she have anything to stand on. i feel bad his x wife is bitching him out constantly about this.  my cousin is upset shes not getting a car but she'll get over it.

Unless it's in the court order that he has to buy her one, he doesn't have to buy her one at all.

She can try but I doubt the judge will back her.

No, he is not legally bound to buy a car for his daughter.

I would think the judge would laugh in her face since he's still gonna buy her a car just not when the Mom thinks he should....or he could just buy her a car and let her Mom deal with her about when she can drive it...
