Why do men think this is okay?

My husband and I both have headaches this morning. He goes back to sleep like its no big deal leaving me awake with the baby. When do I get to sleep? Why does he get to be stress free?

Sounds like my dh. He's sleeping right now (it's almost 1pm where I am). I was up all night for the past 2 nights with a sick baby. I think in general men are just selfish.

1 mom liked this

Because he is a guy.  My dh and I both suffer from severe allergies and yesterday was a bad day for us.  He took a nap at two and didn't get up until dinner.  Then went to his man cave for the rest of the night.  We let them do it so it is partly our fault.

Have you spoken to your dh about this?  Have you had an open, honest discussion with him regarding your feelings?  I would not say that all men do this, because my dh wouldn't, therefore, if you don't like it, discuss it with him.  Good luck and I hope you get some rest and your headache goes away. :)

My dh doesn't do babies well...makes him nervous or something..but he's pretty good at helping with our older two if I need. He definitely has times where he's like that though. Really frustrating bc I could have been up all night with our two month old while he was out all night at the casino (just an example) and he's the one who gets to sleep. I agree with whoever said we were at fault too. We don't say anything so they think it's ok.

If both of us are sick, we alternate on our naps and taking care of the kids. If one of us is sick, the other will take care of the kids. My husband does have lazy days but so do I. I am thankful for having a good husband.

My husband isn't like that. He took the baby this morning so I could sleep.
