Here's my situation, I'm a single mom and my dd is 4 months. I just went back to work Wednesday and this morning my boss told me I need to go on a business trip to Alaska in two weeks. I've only ever been away from dd for 5 hours when I'm working. I'd be gone for 8 days. I don't know what to do. Has anyone else ever been in this situation?

Do you have someone who could watch her?

You just started working but they are trusting you with business trips? Sounds.... weird.

If you have someone to watch her, consider going. They should compensate for all that... hopefully.

If you don't have anyone to watch her, thank the boss for the great opportunity but unfortunately, you have to pass

Are you breast feeding? If so I would tell them you can't travel for the next 8 months

Agreed
I have someone to watch her but I'd worry too much.

Her grandparents wouldn't have a problem watching her

That's very kind of you to offer. I'll ask more details on Monday
