How many of you are/were teen moms and own your home? Own your car?
How old were you when you brought your home?
How much was your home?
How did you pay for it? Your savings? Inheritance? Your parents? Trust Fund?

None of the above. I am 24 and just now getting all of those things and it isn't even me getting them. My husband is the one making the money.

What's with all the discussion about teen mothers, and owning homes. Did I miss something?

I was, I owned/own my own car.
I will be 22 when we buy our house in January.
It will be approximately $70k for the triplex.
My inheritance was $15k but we used it to pay off all our vehicles/medical bills/credit cards.

My mother is more broke than I am and my father doesn't give a rats ass.

Had my daughter when I was 16 and she past away at birth. I didn't raise my child but I was a teen mom.

I owned a home. I own 3 cars.

I was 30 years old.

My condo was $30,000

I paid in cash with savings.

I actually got my first home because my grandpa was sick and needed me to move next door. He owned it and signed it over to me to get me there. After he died it remained in my name but any family members going through a shit time stays in it. It is in a town that will end up a ghost town if they don't get any industry in there. the house across the street from it was foreclosed on and went up for auction. It's start price was 5 grand and no bid on it.

I'm 26 and won't own a home until I'm 27. And that's only because my parents are giving me theirs when they buy a new home.
I can't get a home any other way with dh and I both working. I can't understand how a teen could.

I was & I owned my own car.. When hubby & I got married my inlaws bought us a house & we pay the mortgage. I was 17 when I had my first. Married & house by 20. I've been with my hubby since I was 16 & I'm now 25 & I couldn't imagine my life any different. So don't judge all teen mums!
