My 8 year old son's new friend...

So, we just moved into a new neighborhood less then 6 months ago. My son has made his first neighborhood friend. They go to the same school and are the same age. I am afraid he gonna be a bad influence on my child. The friend tells me things that he shouldn't even know anything about! I know he won't be my sweet little boy forever, but this age is way too young. I am not friends with his mom. I don't know how to go about this at all.

I'm not sure what I would do. Do you know his mom at all?

So get to know his mom. Or just tell the kid that whatever he is saying isnt appropriate and he isnt to tell your kid about it.

He knows what p**n is. He is sometimes left alone with his younger siblings.

I know I should get to know his mom. I am shy and wouldn't know the first thing to say. Plus I don't really agree with her parenting.

I did say that to the friend. This is new territory. Glad I said at least one thing right. Thanks.
