So at a loss.. DD and eating

Idk what to do with my oldest DD. She refuses to eat! Used to be she'd just sit there...forever. Then she switched to putting food in her mouth and leaving it there..wouldn't swallow. Just hold it til it was nasty. Now! She just "makes a mess" Usually food on the floor. I don't know what to do with her to get her to eat her food. Any ideas?

Is it every type of food? How long has this been going on?

depending on her age. If she's older than 2 or 3, there should be no intentional throwing of food and making a mess.. I would put a stop to that asap. My son will sit there and eat was is given to him. I am lenient in what I make as well so he can eat. The only person I've known to act like that had no taste buds. Anything she put in her mouth tasted literally like nothing so she'd just let it sit in her mouth or not eat at all. She was at least 8 or 9 when I found out.

Have you talked to your Ped? Sounds like a sensory disorder. There is therapy to help that.
